Dr. Selzer is highly experienced in the radiation treatment of malignant and benign conditions. His work combines innovative research with precision radiotherapy, integrating advanced treatment approaches with personalised treatment strategies.
As a senior specialist in radiation oncology and clinical research, Univ. Prof. Dr. Selzer brings decades of experience in translational oncology, biomarker development, and the clinical treatment of malignant tumors, including skin cancers, lymphomas, head and neck cancers, and other complex malignancies. He also has extensive expertise in palliative radiotherapy, helping to improve quality of life and symptom control for patients with advanced cancer.
Dr. Selzer combines his long-standing clinical expertise with cutting-edge research in translational oncology and radiation biology. Drawing on more than 35 years of experience at the Medical University of Vienna and Vienna General Hospital (AKH), he has played a key role in advancing radiation oncology in Austria. He has led multiple departments, conducted international research collaborations, and contributed to the development of new anti-cancer compounds and clinical trials.
