Amethyst Radiotherapy Austria operates the most advanced medical linear accelerator from Elekta (Versa HD).
Such as IMRT (Intensity – Modulated Radiotherapy) and VMAT (volumetric modulated arc therapy).
Multileaf collimators (MLC) do allow to adapt the radiation fields to the tumor region optimally.
An integrated visualization system (ConeBeam-CT) provides Image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT).
Our Center offers a safe and effective treatment with exceptional facilities that allow performing radiosurgery or radiotherapy of the tiny lung, brain, and liver tumors with the greatest possible accuracy (better than 1 mm), sparing the damage to surrounding healthy tissue. A HexaPOD radiation couch with 6 degrees of freedom makes this possible by correcting the patient’s position exactly (translation and rotation).
